Standing with the women who stand with their children

A child's schooling depends a lot on the family around them, and very often on their mother. Women Support is where Saath Foundation works with mothers and women caregivers directly.

Where we start: papers and schemes

Mothers usually carry the paperwork for the whole household: birth certificates, ration cards, health cover, scholarships. Our Document & Scheme Desk helps them apply for what the family is entitled to, and stays with them until it arrives. No fees, and no one ever handles their money.

How we work

  • Women decide. We explain the options. The choice is theirs.
  • Money stays with the family. Any benefit goes into the woman's or family's own bank account.
  • Privacy first. We ask permission for every document we keep, and we never publish anyone's story without consent.
  • Honest about outcomes. We help people apply. We don't promise what an office will decide.

What comes next

We're planning more ways to support women, shaped by what mothers in our programs tell us they need. We'll add them here when they're ready, and not before.
