Get involved

Give a few hours. Stand beside a child.

Teach a small group of children online, on an evening or a weekend, with a Saath Foundation staff member in the session. Every step, from application to your first class, is clear and tracked.

Ways to help

Looking to meet a child you sponsor? That's Meet Your Saathi, not volunteering. How visits work

How we keep children safe

  • Never one to one. Every session is a group, with a Saath Foundation staff member or trained second adult on the call.
  • Police verification for every volunteer who works with children, plus ID checks and two references.
  • Safeguarding training and a signed Code of Conduct before your first session.
  • No contact outside the session. Volunteers never get children's phone numbers, addresses or social media, and never share their own.
  • No photos or recordings of children by volunteers.
  • A clear way to raise a concern, for anyone, at any time.

From application to first session

We'll show you each step, and how long it usually takes, in your volunteer account.

No waiting without knowing why.

Questions about volunteering

Do I need to live near a Saath Foundation program?

Not for teaching. Sessions are online, so you can teach from anywhere in India.

Is there a minimum age?

You need to be 18 or older to teach.

Does it cost anything to volunteer?

No.

One evening a week can change how a child feels about school.
