The scholarships a student qualifies for, applied for on time
Students can miss out on scholarships they qualify for. A missed deadline, a missing certificate, or no one to help with the form. Our Scholarship Clinic sits with families and gets the applications done.
How the clinic works
-
We check what each student can apply for
Twice a year, in each scholarship season, trained Saath Foundation staff match every enrolled student against a list of schemes, their rules and their deadlines. This includes schemes on the National Scholarship Portal, state portals such as MahaDBT, and private and trust scholarships.
-
We gather the documents together
We go through the checklist with the family. If a certificate is missing, like an income or caste certificate, our Document & Scheme Desk helps get it.
-
The family applies, with us beside them
We fill in the form with the family present, using the family's own login. The application is in the student's name, never Saath Foundation's.
-
We follow it until the money arrives
We track each application until it's paid or closed, and help the family respond if the portal asks for anything.
Scholarship money goes to the family, never to Saath Foundation
Scholarships are paid straight into the student's or parent's bank account by the scheme. Saath Foundation never receives this money, and never charges a fee for the clinic.
Why this matters if you sponsor a child
When a scholarship is sanctioned for a need on a child's Hold a Hand list, we mark that need as "covered by a scholarship" and lower the "₹X to go". You're only asked for what's really left, and your money can go further.
How we handle your documents
- We ask your permission for each document we hold.
- We keep only the last four digits of an Aadhaar number.
- Document copies are stored encrypted, seen only by the staff helping you, and deleted when the application closes, unless you ask us to keep them.
- Volunteers never keep copies of any family document.
Results so far
We'll publish our first figures after the first scholarship season closes.
Upcoming clinics
We hold a clinic whenever we have the funds for one, and post its dates here. Families already with Saath Foundation will hear from their coordinator.
Questions
Is there any fee?
No. The clinic is free. If anyone asks you for money in Saath Foundation's name, please tell us.
Will my child definitely get the scholarship?
We can't promise that. The scheme decides. We make sure the application is complete, accurate and on time.
Can you fill in the income for us?
The details must be true and come from you, because the application is in your name. We'll help you find the right papers.
