Meet Your Saathi

Saath Milan: a day together

A few hours at a venue Saath Foundation hires for the day, where children and Saathis play, make things and simply spend time together. No speeches, no stage. Just a good afternoon.

No child walks alone.

What a Saath Milan looks like

  • Shared activities: games, art, reading corners and crafts. Children join in if they want to.
  • Time to talk: about school, hobbies and what children are looking forward to.
  • A short update from our team on what Saathis funded this year, by category.
  • One group photo, taken by our staff at a set moment, only with consent.

A Saath Milan lasts up to 3 hours, on a weekend or holiday, never during school hours.

What never happens: children don't perform, give thank-you speeches or get "presented" to visitors.

Who can come

Any Saathi with a confirmed contribution to any Saath Foundation program can register, and so can approved representatives of our CSR partners. Every adult completes the same screening before the day: photo ID, a police verification certificate from the last 12 months, a signed declaration, two references, a short online orientation and the Visitor Code of Conduct. Your own children can come too, with you looking after them.

Saath Milan is where every Saathi starts. You'll need to come to one before you can ask for an individual visit.

We don't tell anyone in advance which children are taking part, including the child you sponsor. Staff decide who attends, with consent. Each child joins at most 2 Saath Milan days a year, and can always choose not to.

How we keep the day safe

  • Our staff are there throughout, with one staff member for every 3 visiting groups, a named safeguarding lead, and a staff member whose only job is to keep an eye on the room.
  • Staff and guardians take children to the toilet. Visitors never do.
  • No personal photos or videos, and nothing posted online.
  • Please don't swap contact details with children or families.

Upcoming Saath Milan days

No Saath Milan days are announced yet.

Tell us you'd like to come, and we'll write to you when dates are posted.

Gifts at a Saath Milan

To keep things fair, gifts at a Saath Milan are either the same for every child or go into a shared pool. If you'd like to contribute, choose the shared gift when you register. Please never bring cash.

Add to the shared gift pool (optional). The amount is set for each day, and it's the same for everyone.

Questions

Will I meet the child I sponsor?

You might, in the group, but we can't tell you in advance. Staff decide which children take part, with their consent, and it isn't a one-to-one meeting. Sometimes a child can't come or chooses not to, and that's always okay.

Is there a cost?

Your travel is at your own cost.

What should I bring?

Your photo ID, and your registration confirmation. Please leave gifts and cash at home. The shared gift covers everyone.

Can my Saathi Circle or company team come together?

Yes. Each adult must be a Saathi with a confirmed contribution, or an approved CSR representative, and each registers and completes screening. Tell us you're a group when you register.

Come for an afternoon. See what "together" looks like.
